Now that you are older and know better, was it just a lot of “baloney”? Michael explained how he formed his attitude opposite his mom’s as he grew up, and that when he met his dad years later, found out he and dad had some personality resemblance along with the same hobby interests. Nick was asked: Go back in time when parents were your age and you meet them while at the same age. How are they different than you are today? Nick said, his parents were having children during their 20’s, while Nick has started yet and he has well past that age. Mike was asked: Though your dad gave you a hard time now and then, what were the funny things your dad did. Mike said, his dad would always buy old riding mowers and fix them up. As usual, he would hook up the mower to a come-along which would pull it through the limbs of a tree so it would be hanging off the ground for him to work on it while he sat down. For those of you who weren’t at the meeting you’ll have to ask Mike for the rest of the story, because from a certain time thereafter, Mike’s dad only bought new mowers. Evaluators: Anne evaluated Emily – Anne picked up on the main message how digital technology has helped her promote her books and make money. Anne got lost with the long descriptions of the many genres. Though Emily had good material she should take more time present the slides. Jeremy evaluated Jessie – Jeremy liked the accomplishment of delivering a demonstration speech. Mentioned that Jessie should have opened speech talking about people to get them to want to work out. Said, Jessie had great eye contact and good movement as she imitated some of the exercises. He liked the timeline from the 1950’s until current time. He felt it was a tough topic and project to meet the objectives. Suzanne was our guest for the evening.
