Bingham High School students continue to be successful in state testing programs: Career Technology Educational End of Course Mastery Testing, Computer-Based Testing in English, Math, and Science classes, funded PLAN testing for all tenth grade students and funded ACT testing for all eleventh grade students, and the College Board Advanced Placement testing program. Student assessment programs continue to be a primary focus of state and federal legislation, college readiness preparation, and educational programs at Bingham High School. Students who plan to register for college concurrent classes and do not have a qualifying ACT or CPT score, must retake those tests at Salt Lake Community College and have a qualifying score during the summer or they will be removed from those classes with other classes substituted. College concurrent classes are great opportunities for students to take classes offering high school and college credit with no tuition expenses. Students may be required to purchase college textbooks and other materials in college concurrent classes. Students and parents should check their class schedules to make certain that student schedules reflect their 2013-2014 educational plans, high school graduation progress, and future college and career plans. The goal should be for students to maximize their public school educational opportunities with class selections that will enhance future student alternatives. Students should keep their future options open by experiencing the wide-range of educational class options that are available at Bingham High School. In early July, students and parents will receive a letter detailing Bingham High School online registration instructions. School fees have been adjusted for the 2013-2014 school year with some changes and increases, and those fees will be listed in the letter and online. School fees are required in Utah to supplement school activity and athletic programs that are not otherwise financially supported. When finalizing the student fee portion of registration, please check all student and parent/guardian information for accuracy. This information may only be submitted online. If there are any questions, please contact the Bingham High School Main Office at 801-256-5100 during summer office hours. Administrators will be available during the June and August summer months. Counselors will be available after August 5th. The 2013-2014 school year promises to be highly successful and Bingham students will continue to achieve in academic, art, activity, and athletic programs. Appreciation is expressed to all of those who work so well together to make Bingham High School such an outstanding public school. “It’s a great day to be a Miner!” Have a great summer break!
