Just MY opinion: Adrian Peterson (one of the greatest players to step onto a football field) was raised by the switch and is doing the same with his children. Do I agree with it? NO, I do not. I dont believe in using a weapon on a child. Having said that. The courts have a chance to make a difference and break the chain in the way a generation of kids will grow up to parent - using a switch, like AP used on them. Why not educate AP in different parenting techniques and turn him into a poster boy for alternate parenting. How about time out or 1-2-3 Magic. How about rewarding positive behavior and ignoring the negative (within reason) Heres a chance to take an icon and use his rehabilitation for good. Follow his progress on TV with updates. This has the potential to reach out to a lot of parents. I pray for wisdom in the sentencing of Mr Peterson.
