Just a few thoughts.. I was thinking today about my journey with Arbonne. It has been full of ups and downs although mostly ups looking back. As i have grown personally i have learned to use the struggles i faced as lessons for me to grow from. I love that saying, Its not about what happens to you that counts, its what you do with what happens to you. I have learned to harness adversity and use that as fuel for me to push myself ahead and to look for the lesson in those challenges. Ive been in Arbonne for 12.5 years. The business itself is easy. The system to do the business is easy. The hardest part is getting over ourselves and how we react to what we cannot control. I have learned that we cannot make someone see what we see. I have learned that just because someone says No it doesnt mean they are saying No to me personally. They often times are just saying Not right now. Sometimes they are really saying, I dont know enough, please educate me and tell me more. I find that as a leader in this business one of the toughest parts of what i face is seeing someone with such AMAZING potential give up. My heart hurts for them because i see that they can do so many amazing things with their lives but they gave in to other peoples beliefs. They allowed scarcity mentality to take over. I find that many times consultants take things too personally. I know at the beginning of my business, i did too. Although overtime i got mentally tough and developed a rubber butt mentality. If someone said something to me that hurt me or disappointed me than i may have been knocked down but i bounced right back up! I learned that those that are meant to be in this business with me, will. I learned that i dont want to have to constantly be talking people off a ledge. When you live in scarcity mentality that is what you do. Although when you live and work with abundance mentality, people are drawn to you. People want success but most are not willing to do what it will take to be successful. Not just in network marketing but in any business or in life. You have to be WILLING to do what most will not do so you can have what most will never have the opportunity to have or experience. ARE YOU WILLING???!!! I have learned that personal development is one of the BIGGEST selling points of getting into a network marketing business. People need to learn to mind their mind. They need to learn to fill their lives with people that love them, support them, encourage them, and are like minded. You have total control over how you allow other peoples negativity to affect you. I have gotten to where when someone speaks negatively about something that i am passionate about, i kind of feel sorry for them because they dont know what i know. I find that most often the people that love us the most, are only skeptical of what we do because they dont want us to get hurt. Most often we have to fill our cup elsewhere and prove it to them that it does work. Even if it working means , you are changing...for the good. Personally. Your paycheck may not always reflect the time you put into your business, especially at the beginning. There will be one day, mark my words..where you are getting paid FAR more than you put into your business. I have been at this point in Arbonne for a very long time. Although if you dont quit and you stay consistent with your teams system, you will achieve success. I find often times that we dont pay attention to the little successes that you should be celebrating. If you are able to pay bills that you couldnt pay before, that is a success. If you have grown personally, that is a success. If you have conquered your fear of speaking in front of people, that is a success. Look for the little things to celebrate!! The little steps add up to BIG LEAPS! I remember hearing early on that its the journey to the top that you REALLY want. Its what you learn along the way when you really are succeeding. Why is that? Because you kept going. When others quit, you are still here. I am asked often why do i think i became successful in Arbonne. My answer is because i didnt quit. I kept on keeping on. I was coachable. I plugged into our teams system. I was consistent with my efforts. I believed in what i was selling and i believed and still believe to this day that anyone can be successful at this business if they just commit to playing full out, taking 100% responsibility for their success and failures, embracing their journey..the good and the bad. I have had some really low moments in my business, i mean really low. People that i loved and cared about left my business. I had top leaders that quit leading their teams and stopped working their businesses because they got complacent, and i had to rebuild other teams and try to fix alot of damage that was done by leaders that never really trained or led their teams. BUT, because i didnt quit...i succeeded. When someone made the decision to lay down their business, i kept sharing and trusting that those that were meant to be in my business with me would. Once you get here, there will always be a there. I believe that. Although i also believe that you have to continue to do the same thing that you did to get where you are if you want to continue growing. When you get comfortable, that means you are not growing. Believe it or not, being uncomfortable is when you grow the most! You are your best player! You cant bench your best player! Your team needs to see their leader in the trenches with them doing the do, leading from the front. Your teams wants to know that you know where you are going and that you can show them how to get there too. I find many times people sponsor in their comfort level and below. So if someone has low confidence they tend to sponsor other people with low confidence. I have always been taught to sponsor up. I have learned that when you believe in what you do and you are passionate about it, that when someone doesnt see what you see its east to just say, Next. If your confidence is low you allow other peoples low confidence to seep into you and then you start to question yourself. When you KNOW without a doubt that this is the BEST GIG in town and you are in FULL BELIEF that you have the answer that others are praying for, and if you do hear a No than you honestly feel sorry for them that they dont see what you see. You see i have lived an AMAZING life because of Arbonne. I have experienced more personal growth, travels, friendships, and memories than most people do in their lifetime. SO when i hear No , i just move on. I let it go and wish them the best and let them know if their circumstances change, than i will ALWAYS be here to share Arbonne with them when it is the right time. BUT, i do not allow it to hold me back or make me feel bad about myself or question Arbonne. I know that right now may not be their time. I cant control the outcome, all i can control is my own activity. I no longer get afraid of sharing with others the business because i know i would be doing a disservice to them by not sharing. No is just a word. You choose the feeling that you feel when you hear the word No. You can choose to think Oh my goodness, they said NO to ME??!!! What am i going to do? Should i just quit now? or you could think Well that is one NO closer to my Yes! I am going for the Nos so i can get the Yess. No just means not right now. No means i dont know enough, tell me more. You see , its a mindset. I can tell you 100% for all of those years i was dreaming and driving to and from presentations and appointments praying for my business to grow, praying for those that were meant to be in my business to be at that particular presentation that night... i was experiencing success then because i NEVER GAVE UP! I dreamed and drove for years and then one day i realized i was living the life i had once dreamed about. It just happened and it wasnt one BIG MOMENT where i arrived. I arrived every single day i worked my business. It is about the journey. I will NEVER quit. I will ALWAYS believe that i have the BEST GIG in town. I will always BELIEVE in others and do whatever i can to share with them how they can have more, be more, and do more using Arbonne as their vehicle. i want you to know if you have ever thought that you were the only one that wasnt having success, you were wrong. Any top leader in any business has had their share of failures. The difference is they have had more nos, they have logged in more flight miles, and they have learned that its a process and they have to learn to embrace it All. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A TEST BEFORE YOU HAVE A TESTIMONIAL. When i was frustrated with myself for not hitting my goals or for not promoting as fast as i wanted to; looking back i can say that I NEEDED EVERY SINGLE DAY, WEEK, MONTH, and YEAR of growing and experiencing failures to become the leader i am today! Yes i know this was long but it kind of poured out of me tonight and i am sure there will be at least one person that needed to read this. I would always find something that i needed to read or hear many times throughout my business and those lessons made ALL of the difference!! Blessings and have an amazing month!! xo
