Just a heads up to anyone about to do the Herekino and Raetea sections. Herekino has been uprooted by wild pigs in up to 100 places plus there are fallen trees from the recent heavy winds. Youll still pass it in 8 hours but take care. Raetea section has close to 200 fallen trees (seriously lost count) and very muddy. Boot and pole traction is minimal. Still passable but took us an extra day to get through. Will take a couple of dry weeks to improve and some maintenance to clear trees.
