Just a quick update. Most of you have probably heard that Ricky and I are on our way to Australia to be more personally involved in the search effort for Danielle and the amazing crew aboard Nina. We will fly from Australia out to Norfolk Island and begin a 7-10 day search with Aussie pilot Jack Hart and his spotters. Ricky will actually be one of the crew, and we are excited about being there when Nina is sighted. Please pray that God will put Nina in the sights of the search team. We spent all day yesterday in the Lafayette airport, missing flight after flight because we are traveling stand-by. We missed our Houston to L.A. Connection last night by minutes, but did manage to get into L.A. late last night. Then we had a really hard time finding a room - everyone was sold out. Went to one place that was seedy, and then decided (at 4am our time) to just pay for the expensive hotel. Slept great (all 5 hours) and had a wonderful breakfast and lunch in the hotel, and have been taking care of loose ends at Sunbelt and touching base with family members and friends, waiting around to go to the airport for the flight tonight at 10pm. Just praying we dont get bumped! Captain Davids sister is a commercial pilot and has been gracious enough to help us with buddy passes. We appreciate it so much! Last night on the flight from Lafayette to Houston, so many people came over to say they are continuing to pray that our trip will be successful in finding Danielle. These are people who have seen us on the news and are following our story on Face book. The Lafayette community has been so generous and caring. As we were getting ready to land, a lady pressed a beautiful silver angel in my hand and whispered that it had been her mothers guardian angel and she wanted me to have it. I burst into years, so touched by her desire to encourage a total stranger. There have been so many stories like this. Dont know why it still surprises me, but I am continually caught off guard. As I sat down this morning for my devotional reading of the day, it started off, Learn to appreciate difficult days. Be stimulated by the challenges you encounter along your way. My first response was Oh no, not another day like yesterday, Lord! I cant take anymore of this! But then it encouraged me to take a look back on my life and remember how God walked me through past situations that, at the time, seemed unbearable; my first marriage that ending in divorce, my only brother (24 years old) choosing the end his life after struggling with abuse in his childhood that wasnt his fault, hurtful situations in relationships that pierced so deep it still hurts to think about them. Weve all had similar experiences - its called LIFE. Then I pushed the negative away and started thanking God for the way he sent Ricky into my life, and how happy we have been for almost 25 years now. He blessed us with Danielle, and it was a dream come true to be able to stay home and spend so much time totally devoted to being a wife and mother. We have been exceedingly blessed in business. We have wonderful, supportive, loving families. Were blessed with an abundance of friends who have stood with us and told us were not crazy (sometimes I wonder!) as weve continued to search for our precious daughter and her mates on Nina. And our pastors and church family have been there every step of the way.... We are thankful. We are so thankful. We are thankful beyond words...... Robin Wright
