Just a quick update on Epic E... her temp is at about 38.1 now, so its gone down... she didnt have fevers throughout the night though :-) They did a catheter this morning (it took about four tries :-( ) which for some reason was one of the most difficult things to go through!! Even after all of the tries and the poking and trying to get a sample, they were only able to get about one ml. They also did a test where they stuck swabs up to the back of her nose which was uncomfortable for her. Everything keeps coming back negative so we still arent sure whats going on. There is talk of potentially inserting a new picc line on Monday if things dont improve. Shes been npo since last night which has made things even more difficult! At our request though, theyre going to repeat the ultrasound to check the collections of fluid to make sure they arent coming from the liver which would potentially indicate the tumour... they actually just came to get us, so wish us luck!! :-)
