Just a reminder that the Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a seminar about the potential presence of the Emerald Ash Borer at 5:30 pm, Tuesday evening at the Ankeny Fire Department Headquarters, 120 NW Ash Drive. Expertise will be provided by Shane Donegan from Prairie Rivers RC & D, the Iowa DNR and City of Ankeny representatives. Specific concerns that will be addressed include: history and identification, treatment vs. removal, the City of Ankeny action plan, private property owner responsibilities and a short question and answer period.
