Just a thought. Could the trade for Bowe Bergdahl have been done in secret? I mean, if the concern is that we have negotiated with terrorists and weve opened the door for more kidnapping of American troops or officials overseas, couldnt he have been obtained without our knowing the terms.. Or the trade ever coming to light? Besides, if these five Taliban really were harmless, why would it have mattered? We wouldnt have even known they were gone from Gitmo. Its not like theyd turn up later at the sight of an attack. Seems to me wed have all been better off - and there would be no political fallout, no political gain either.
