Just a thought: There has been quite a few home invasions (with rape) in the Cypress area, as well as attempted kidnappings in the Katy area and just recently on Wednesday, a person was robbed at gun point at their mailbox in Katy. All of the victims are women. Now, I bring this up because I REALLY stress that women learn self-defense and they are the hardest group to convince. I know Krav Maga can be intimidating and invades personal space, but, honestly, you are learning an important skill to protect yourself and your loved ones. Would you rather die trying or not try at all? We are not trying to make heros, but we are trying to make it harder for attackers to think they can overpower us. And stop thinking that your concealed carried gun will take care of it. How are you going to do that when the attacker is a few inches away? And do you train every week on how to quickly and properly take your gun out under stress? Chances are the attacker already has their weapon out and you dont. Best quick tip to give right now: SCAN. LOOK AROUND. HAVE SITUATIONAL AWARENESS. Most of the victims were oblivious and surprised. Stop the tunnel vision. And for the love of humanity (and this goes to women and men) PUT DOWN THE CELL PHONE.
