Just a thought, if Scotland is subsidised by UK supermarkets who stated they may put prices up as we are so far away, does that mean local suppliers will get more? With our own over capacity for red meat, plenty opportunity to get our pigs & chickens processed at home again, tatties, veg & fruit, mills ports & airports there is no need to pay more. Support Aldi,Lidl & if Asda & Tesco want to Vacate or cant compete at current prices maybe it will create opportunities for proper producer led co-op to supply consumers? All we eat does not come in boxes to Dover, Scotland can & does produce most of what we eat;rest comes in refridgerated air/sea containers! only non speciality things we get from South are sugar & extra milled wheat & there is probably too much of that in our diet!
