Just actually looked into Earthships, These are completely sustainable housing. You can argue its Hippy work or whatnot, but no matter the perspective when looking at it, it is the first of its kind for a massive project of homes built completely sustainably, aimed at eliminating dependancies and reducing (or eliminating) carbon footprints. While I care more about eliminating dependancies and living sustainably, there is a lot of good coming from these. I would even be willing to road trip to New Mexico to stay in one for a few days and get a feel for how effective they really are, whether I would want to build one, or a half-Earthship, myself. Costs and effectiveness are what I want to investigate, but Id love to see if anyone is willing to join me in this effort. While I get out of the service in under 2 months, if no opportunities arrise immediately, it will mean I have some time free of location-bound obligations. Ill be up for Road trips or even foreign travel if anyone is game, but would love to see this nonetheless. They are based in Northern New Mexico. Especially wanted to show this to: Meg Mihelic, Thomas Vincent Mihelic, Rusty Hall. Depending on the building costs, this would be a great opportunity to make a reliable and maintenance house. earthship/
