Just an update regarding the U13 Southern Peewees Reps. We finished the U13 NZIHL tournament series in Dunedin over the weekend. This years team were never really challenged all season. Vs Canterbury 10-3 Vs Canterbury 10-1 Vs Auckland 16-1 Vs Auckland 6-1 Vs Auckland 8-2 Vs Canterbury 18-2 Vs Auckland 14-3 Vs Canterbury 9-3 91 goals for 16 against More info can be found at; nzicehockey.co.nz/nzpihl.html The Queenstowns boys competed well with Bryn Rassmussen, Lucas Adnitt, Hunter Freemantle and Charlie van Asch all getting good game time and rep hockey experience and Jack Robbie made a good comeback from his broken collar bone six weeks ago. Jackson Flight had a great all round season and finals weekend and was named 2104 U13 NZIHL League MVP in this the inaugural year. It was agreed that next year the series would be 12 games like the Midgets (JEL) league and checking will be introduced in to peewee hockey and the correct training procedures will be put in place before the season starts. A big congratulations to the team, coaches and management.
