Just answer this...why does it matter to you the atheist if you dont believe in God that I want to place a cross at Ground Zero in memorial to Thousands of lives lost, as a symbol of my loss? What symbol would you have go there instead? How does it offend your delicate sensibilities to place the cross that stand in the remains of the towers as a symbol that we will never forget? A plane, a turban, a skeleton, a continuously burning flame? What? Why cant you allow me my religious freedom just as I have respected yours? Whether you believe in God or not, I still pray for you and your soul. Whether you do or dont believe Jesus died for your sins so you would have everlasting life, there are those of us who do believe. Our United States of America and its constitution grant all citizens the right to religious freedom. How does my praying, or the placement of the words In God We Trust on our money, or my pledge of allegiance infringe on your right to not believe. I dont come to you trying to save you. You arguing with my right to pray, etc does in fact, in fringe on my religious freedom guaranteed to me by my forefathers signing of the declaration of independence, fighting a rebellion and winning that war, followed by the writing of our nations constitution. My life, my trials, tribulations, successes and losses are a testimony to my beliefs. Because I pray and believe, does not dictate, insinuate, or intimidate you into doing the same. Sounds like Anarchy is the flavor of the day these days.
