Just been away for a fabulous week of music with Folkworks in Durham, doing the accordion workshop with the one and only Ian Lowthian, and band with dance with the fantastic Jo Freya of Blowzabella fame and Kev Lees. Lots and lots of fun. Came back to do a fund-raising gig for the the Air Ambulance down in Towyn on the Saturday night. What a great night - huge barn and loads of dancers all evening. The band were highly amused as the floor sloped and the dancers kept drifting further and further away to the bottom of the barn! But they raised £2900 which is fantastic - so congrats to all of them - what a great result. We have had some lovely feedback too. One of the dancers - who was obviously quite an experienced dancer - said that we were the best band he had ever danced to! Made us feel really good! Trying to sort out dates for the new Ceilidh Club season at the moment so watch this space.
