Just counting blessings today and thinking about Llew Matthews, John B. Williams and Roy McCurdy. I will never forget the day Art Hillery was playing a chart of Guess Who I Saw Today at the Union in Los Angeles in 2006, my chart was a little off and Red Holloway said wait a minute and walked out of rehearsal. He came back with this man grinning ear to ear and beaming joy. He said hello sat down and played Guess Who I saw Today. When we finished I told him I loved Nancy Wilson and Red Said well this is his musical director. I almost couldnt breathe I was so excited. I will never forget that day because to my hearts elation it was later followed with two other amazing gentleman who I am blessed to share the stage with and whose hearts are always open, they are kind and unconditionally loving and we make beautiful music together and each experience working with them is just awesome. I should thank Nancy Wilson too for these are her gentleman of 30 plus years, but moreover I thank them. Thank you for the privilege of knowing you and making music with you.
