Just doing a little research today. Lets see the highest paid CEO in the US is Oracles Lawrence Ellison with $96.2 million in total compensation. However the companys median salary level was $78k which is triple the national average. In contrast the highest paid athlete was Phil Mickelson at $49 million, actor Robert Downey Jr. at $75 million, singer was Taylor Swift at $40 million and comedian Jerry Seinfeld at $32 million which is down $53 million from 4 years ago. Considering that Oracle is a growing company that employs thousands with higher than average pay rates and above average benefits packages, perhaps that salary isnt so out of line in comparison to all of those performers who do not employ anyone or direct companies to growth and more jobs. Oh, a side note, although it did not list what the job was, Oracles lowest paid employee made around $26k. Still above the national average.
