Just down the street from Moms home are these two monuments at the exact site where (back in the old Wild Wild West days - circa late 1800s) where a local Sheriff and bandit both lay dead following a shootout. The bandits accomplice had fled the scene. Interestingly though unconfirmed, about 20 years ago following the resurfacing of this story in a local newspaper, an old lady claiming to be the granddaughter of that suspected accomplice told the story as it had been kept in the family that her grandfather had shot the Sheriff at that shootout when he was merely a 12 year old boy.
