Just finished Horns A fantastic film about the meaning behind knowing ones true colors or self inflicted justice. The Film starts with a mans memory of his girlfriend, the last one he has, and flips the scene to him passed out slowly waking back up, thinking about what happened, why is happened, and what he did. You dont clearly know whats going on until a bit later when all the pieces start to slowly come together but dont worry youll still be thinking to yourself, what the hell is going on. The reason behind what happened to him is because i dont believe you can say it was for an exact reason; is up to you. I dont think this film is based on a religious interpretation/meaning but it has its moments. I love what this movie did in terms of their devilish outlook on the term justice which i can say they leaned a more religious wise viewpoint at. The only issue that i had with this film is the fact that it never really explains why he got his cornus (its in latin - itll ruin the film if i say it) but again it gives a speculation so you can either take his speculation or make your own. I think giving away the WHY would make the film a little less interesting so maybe less of a broad issue and more of a personal issue. Overall i thought this film was great, i actually never guessed that it would be that person who had done it and it gave me quite a shock, its almost like you should have guessed it but i was so caught in the story because there was so much going on at once and i think that was the point, that you werent even paying attention to solving the mystery in your own mind, and instead just enjoyed watching it play out on screen. I was laughing the whole time at the main characters reactions to what was being said to him because of his cornus which youll figure out later. it kind of reminded me about a similar movie concept in which *spoiler* the people in the film couldnt tell a lie. Also the love story was really sad i didnt think for a second that, that was the reason behind why she did what she did. It was a very interesting plot twist If you enjoy dark comedy, murder, and love stories give this movie a watch.
