Just finished watching Lee Daniels: The Butler for the first time. - TopicsExpress

Just finished watching Lee Daniels: The Butler for the first time. It was truely a inspiring and humbling movie to experience. Yesterday while at work a Caucasian man reffered to as an example of what the outcome is when they allow work release individuals into the work force. He wasnt an irrate customer, just merely speaking what was true in his heart. Watching that movie and seeing how while the dynamics of racism and the acts of racist have significantly been suppressed, the fact of the matter is that even in this day and age with a colored man running the free world, racisim is just that, SUPPRESSED but still vibrant in a lot of people. I said all of that to just because it makes me wonder with all that has transpired during the civil rights movement, with all of the black millionaires and billionaires today and even with a biracial president will there ever be a day when racism becomes obsolete? Or is it something that we will just have to continue to live with and just try to ignore?
