Just going to say that today was certainly affirming. I was wearing my orange NDO shirt out and about and had two different people in the restaurant at lunch tell me how disappointed they were at the city council vote. One lady from Wyoming said theyd been watching it closely and rooting us on. Then at Billings Clinic I had 2 staff members tell me that they were devastated when it didnt pass. One said she thinks young doctors will definitely think twice before coming to live and work here. Then I walked into Albertsons and an elderly woman asked if she could hug me and she started crying!!! She said she lost one lesbian daughter to suicide because of rejection from their church and her gay nephew moved away from Billings and has never come back-not even for the holidays. And then the checker told me that shes been watching me all these months and just doesnt know how Im even upright after what the council did. So I said its the LGBT community that Im worried about, not me and she winked and said I know. Thanks for all you all have done for me. I think I need to find a way to stand up too. We need to keep having these conversations. #BillingsNDO
