Just got a call from an out of area number. The man on the line, whose English was so bad I could barely understand every other word, was so worried that my Microsoft computer had recently downloaded a virus! Lucky me, he was there to help me download a program that would remove it. Panicing that my computer was in mortal peril, I quickly started asking questions. What brand of computer do I have? What programs do I have loaded for protection? What website was I on when I downloaded the malware? What does the virus do? Before I could get to my next question, phone line went dead. Man mustve been hit by satellite debris or something because there is no way someone so concerned for my well being would just hang up on me. Moral: Beware callers telling you anything about your computer. ITS A SCAM. Your daily dose or sarcasm is complete. Thank you for listening!
