Just got an awesome note from a reader that totally made my day. I told Heather Long years ago that what I wanted most was to walk into conferences and have readers tell me I made them laugh. Because the world is full of sad and angry and hurt...I wanted to add to the light. To the smiles. A reader just told me I made her laugh, which to me is the very best compliment. So, due to all that, heres some circular logic, virg-style. If Stephen King calls himself the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries, and if laughter is the best medicine? Then Im the NyQuil of literature, baby. This pleases me.
