Just got back from the hospital and seeing grams. She is doing better but she doesnt remember why shes there or how she broke her hip. The doctor did say her bones are really soft and she had tears in her muscles that were several years old. He fixed the tears and did the hip. He did ask mom if she was normally this forgetful and mom said yes. For those of you who havent visited with her recently or talked to her on the phone, I can vouch that she doesnt repeat herself once in awhile, more like 90% of the time. She remembered who I was but she must have asked me every 30 seconds why they had a tube shoved up her nose. The staff at the hospital are very attentive to her and love her brutal honesty. When asked if she enjoyed her chicken broth she told them it tasted like shit. 30 seconds later she told us it tasted like chicken farts. She does need to get some sleep so her body can heal, so if your going to call dont get upset if shes asleep.
