Just got home and saw the final play of the World Series game...Full disclosure, I am a Cardinals fan... but that is beside the point. I dont see how that is a controversial call in any way. Middlesbrooks obstructed the runners path to advance to the next base. It is pretty cut and dry. To the point that I believe if he called him out at home plate there would of HAD to be an umpire conference and it would have been overturned. That is especially true after the conference they had in game 1, they now would have to be consistent. But that doesnt matter because the umpire got the call right on his own, the first time. Anyone who says that it wasnt called correctly is indeed being biased.
