Just had a conversation with a gentleman here. We were talking about being Christian and having or not having money. He said he was tired of feeling guilty that he had money and that other people did not. And that as a Christian he did not feel obligated to share his wealth with the church and with the poor. I pointed out to him what Jesus said in Scripture. That in James that the poor of this world would be rich in faith are heirs of the kingdom that He has promised to those that love Him. Basically the rich tend not to rely on God for their needs. So He said not to put your reliance and material things but in eternal things. I pointed out to him that he cant take it with him. I asked him when was the last time he saw are hearse pulling a u-haul trailer behind it, you just cant take it with you. You seem to like that one but he still did not feel it was his responsibility to help anyone. He has earned what he has and he gave to the church offering plate every Sunday. And he dtill has an abundance. So to my brother in Christ Phil, I will pray that the Lord speaks to your heart and that somehow through His Word he would change your view on what He has provided for you and what you need to to with it. I know it has spoken to me. Thanks Phil and thank you Lord for the appointment.
