Just had a delighting the customer experience tonight.....I started trying to get my prescription done at Walgreens tonight at 6:00 p.m. I was told by the pharmacy technician that my auto-refill was denied by my doctor..I called my doctors office, explained my situation, and was told by the nurse that my prescription would be called in and I could pick it up by 9:00 p.m..I called the Walgreens pharmacy at 8:20 p.m. and was told by the pharmacy technician that my prescription was being processed and would be ready by 9:00 p.m., which is the time they close..I received no call from them and when I called back I was told, by a representative, that the pharmacy was closed ..I was told that he could do nothing and I could call tommorrow for more details..Being in an industry where Corporate always controls our day to day operations...I asked the representative to speak to his supervisor..I was put on hold for 5 minutes..I thought that would be the end of my endeavors to procure my script for tonight..I was greeted by the supervisor of the pharmacy technicians for all of Walgreens..He transferred my script to a Walgreens 6 miles away that would fill it and had them hold it until I got there..Im very impressed with Walgreens and they have delighted me..Being an employee at Amerigas, we have gone through numerous training sessions to Delight the customer..Its nice that other companies are following suit...Rock on America..;)
