Just had to say this. Im soo very proud of my daughter Jesselyn Kala Brooke Simon who was a contestant in the Miss Vidalia Pageant last night. She was absolutely beautiful and so were the other 13 girls. Each girl has their own unique ability whether it was being a cheerleader, Viking elite, or whatever. My child is none of those things. She was so out of comfort zone and has always struggled with self confidence in herself. Yes this has been a very long couple months of extremely hard work for these girls and probably harder for those who are not used to dancing or cheering. But I have seen with my own eyes the self confidence my child has gained by participating in the pageant and became a part of something special. She is ok with the fact that she did not even place. She proved to herself that she can do whatever she puts her mind to and found that she has always had the ability. She just needed a little push. She had fun and thats all that matters.
