Just home from National Gundog and would like to thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to judge their dogs. I was overwhelmed with the quality of the dogs and was pleased with my lineup, and wished it had been like Europe where you can award a CAC in each class as they all would have deserved it. Only one dog can win the CC and I was pleased to award it to (now) CH (subject to KC confirmation) Canaleigh Hot Gospel JW ShCM who can show some of the youngsters how to move and RCC to Catcombe Challenger JW who is so beautifully put together. The quality was such that I had to dismiss dogs for lack of coat, carrying too much weight or just not looking their best today when they would certainly have been considered if they were on top form. Thank you again for taking my decisions with good grace and no matter what I think you always take the best dog home. Special congratulations to Dutch/Lux/Ger/VDH/Int Ch (and now Sh Ch subject to KC confirmation) Dutch Consolidation Galaxy on her 3rd CC and Best of Breed today, who was shortlisted in Best In Show and looked a picture. She has the most perfect feet ever!!! The Best Puppy Mousseglen Maclaine (AI) showed his socks off in the BPIS ring but went no further. Thanks to Cheryl Bawden my co-judge and it wasnt me that injured her arm before judging. Great day, great dogs, great weather - thank you all xx
