Just imagine how great America would be if we instilled a sense of personal responsibility in children instead of a sense of entitlement. I believe we systematically teach kids that achievement means very little and instead of encouraging excellence and the virtues of responsibility, we keep preaching a lame gospel about how everyone owes someone something. We constantly enforce its america and you can do what you want but we never remind people that they need to live with those consequences. I get so tired of dealing with irresponsible people who beg or demand others to fix the wreck theyve made of their life. We now even legislate just how stupid people can be and instead of punishing that negligence society at large, who foots the bill for this, we monetize it with television trials and reality shows. We have a huge working class that has their financial security and moral compass set by the very rich or the very poor. Both groups comprised mostly of people too lazy or too unwilling to live without the financial assistance of others, yet boy groups hold enough to demand more from everyone advert election cycle. The next great revolution wont be political or religious. It will be the 50 hour a week people that continue the struggle for a comfortable life finally getting fed up with a system built, literally, to take advantage of their labors and use those gains to feed big business and keep well-meaning poor people mentally unfit to rise up. I think its high time for the working stiffs, like myself, to demand more of each other and be more active in the political world and leave the fake illusions cast by the political forces and mega churches behind. Help those that need a hand and those you love. Be charitable! But offer a resounding NO to anyone who demands something for nothing or makes you think that some imaginary set of guidelines require you to live with less. You deserve better than what you have now-and that should be your motivation to EARN it.
