Just in case anyone hasnt seen it: profounddecisions.co.uk/empire-wiki/Rules_update_2015 TLDR: *VENOM is changed to be less fatal, and is likely to be more common *RP effects are clarified to be *supernatural effects* that you can only shrug off with other supernatural effects or a Hero Point *Combat magic still requires you to RP that youre doing magic, but doesnt require 5 seconds of casting, cant be interrupted and doesnt waste your mana on a miss *New incantation: PURGE, which is Purify on a stick for 2 mana *Spontaneous rituals require an Arcane Projection, taking some hours and costing a mana crystal; you may only deposit requests and collect projections at specified times; the Dean and the Provost get one Projection by email before the event *You can no longer create an enchantment on the battlefield without a ref *The justification for all of this is the aftereffects of the Grand Conjunction *If you hear MAN DOWN and you are not the cause of that call, kneel down *The TIME FREEZE call is now a thing: if you hear it, stop moving, stop making noise, and *pay attention* (in many systems time freeze means to shut your eyes and sing loudly, in this one it means to open your eyes and listen).
