Just left animal control, shayla s missing poster is still there. They havent seen her. I also asked about other purebred dogs. I told them about all the dogs missing in the area and basically I was told ohhh well. They said it was the first they have heard about it (I mentioned it on Wednesday when I called) . There were 5 officers in there and I made sure all of them were aware. They told me alot of dogs are in heat right now so maybe thats the reason ( Shayla is spayed ). They said unless someone gets a tag number or sets up video surveillance, nothing can be done. Since shayla was not on a chain or enclosed in a dog lot, I cant fill out a report, although they said there was nothing they could do anyway. Please everyone, keep an eye out, write down tag numbers if you see someone trying to load dogs up and be more watchful in all areas. Most of all, keep your babies safe! Im discouraged but not giving up faith that I will find shayla and hopefully news for the other owners.
