Just left the vets office without my Baby Girl (formerly Priss from Manhattan ACC). As I write this with tears running down my face theyre prepping her for emergency surgery. Baby couldnt be spayed because her skin issues would flare up every now and then. Her vet said to wait until she was completely better before she could have her spay surgery. So the reason for her life saving surgery tonight is Baby has pymetra which is a serious infection of the uterus. I knew she was sick but when the Dr said to me she needs his done tonight or she will die it was like a slap in the face. Baby is only a baby. I know the rescues are all strapped for finances right now . I was going to try to pay for her surgery on my own. Then I was handed the estimate $2100- $2500. I sent a message to Patricia from Amsterdog worried that there would be a bad outcome for Baby Girl. Without hesitation she said yes we will pay for the surgery. Get her healthy do what you need to do. We will take care of the bill. Talking to Patricia say yes, and looking at that sick little dog covered up in her blanket next to me made men cry the happiest tears ever.I dont ask anyone for anything but this time I need help from fb friends. If you can spare a few dollars to help cover the vet fees and ease the burden in Amsterdog Id be forever grateful. They didnt think twice before saying yes to an expensive surgery to save Babys life. It would mean so much to give back with your help. Baby is at Quakertown veterenary hospital I known shes going to get the best treatment. Ill keep updating her progress.
