Just made a comment about how I was swimming in things to do today when Oceans by Hillsong United started to play. You call me out upon the waters The great unknown where feet may fail And there I find You in the mystery In oceans deep My faith will stand...And I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise My soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mine...Your grace abounds in deepest waters Your sovereign hand Will be my guide Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me Youve never failed and You wont start now What a sweet reminder that God hears not only our prayers, but our fears as well. He calls us out of the water (our fears/ worries/ anxiety) and reminds us that He is the only one that can keep us above the water (the things in life that bring us down - fear) we can NOT do life with out Him (and we are silly to think we can). We can rest in Him when the waves crash (fears/ worry/ anxiety) in around us. He will guide us through dark water (troubled times). He will call us out by name and reach out a hand to rescue us - every single time.
