Just my two cents on the border crisis. Do those who oppose securing the border understand the words Economic Collapse? The last time I checked, food, water, medical, housing, clothing etc..were not free. These things involve associated costs to grow, harvest, build, process, distribute... not to mention labor costs. Our nation, already in a state of economic risk due to alarmingly high unemployment and welfare numbers, is virtually on the brink of collapse. Include in this calculation illegals working under the table, who do not pay income tax and do not put money back into the system. Now Imagine you have 100 illegal residents to every 50 legal tax paying residents. Consumption without contribution must be offset to recover the loss. This burden is now transferred to the tax payers. As taxes are increased business owners cut wages and jobs which in turn leave less revenue toward offsetting the costs. As jobs become more scarce, the need for government assistance increases on an already strained economic system. So I ask again those of you wishing to open the flood gates; do you understand the words Economic Collapse? Because if you do then you understand the first word in supply and demand is Supply. If an individual wishes to enter this country they should do so legally. Go through the process, work legitimately and contribute toward medical, food, education and income tax. We will then see an increase in revenue, jobs and productivity and a decrease in taxes. It begins with the word legal.
