Just ordered room service in the hotel here -- thought I would play safe so ordered Yangzhou fried rice ( egg rice with shrimp and topped with a fried egg ) and a caesar salad. Ok I know its not exactly fish and chips ! The food arrived and I really had to take a second look to see if I was being filmed for candid camera-) The runny half cooked egg was sitting on a lump of dry rice that looked like it had been yesterdays desert, and the salad was limp and very wet with not even 1 crisp tiny little blinking leaf. 2 white bread rolls sat in a small container that gave me some hope .... At least I wouldnt starve -) Then I picked one up and it was solid ..... I mean solid , solid as a rock ( stop singing this is serious ) Stale , dry and solid ! Im no 5 star chef, but I decided to ring down and speak to someone so they could at least have a look at the food and comment to the catering manager. I had no interest in getting my money back nor ordering anything else. The manager arrives and I show him the meal. He picks up the stale solid bread role and says O a little hard He looks at the rice and says this is Chinese rice He looks at the egg and says its cooked on 1 side Great I thought ( said nothing which is odd for me ) Cant wait to eat my golf ball rolls , followed by my Chinese sit in the gut for 2 months rice and my one sided salmonella cooked egg. When I check out on Friday - Im choosing to settle the bill with a credit card that has a runny egg stain, congealed dry rice on the black strip, and that knocks out anyone that complains because its slightly hard ..... Hard, how can a credit card be hard ? Well it will be when it comes to getting the payment -))) Only joking Quick someone call 0800 pot noodle for me please
