Just pointing out the obvious: the truly impossible expectations for modern women created by television, film, modeling and ads. Female stars and models are assisted by all the techniques, products and personal trainers money can buy. Theyre pampered, cossetted and airbrushed. Most models bare little resemblance to their real life selves. The same with movie and television stars-yet American men have come to expect real life counterparts to this (largely) false image. Women have fallen for the trap too, with expectations which are bound to be crushed. No longer enough to be educated, articulate, capable women and (possibly) wife and mother, modern women AND men have been brainwashed to believe the exquisite beauty of youth can and SHOULD be achievable into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
