Just putting it out there for now. I will be putting out a few projects in the next few months and hope some of my friends can help me. The first is that I will be collecting new/used jackets and raincoats in good condition to redistribute before the cold season starts. Preferably warm jackets with some sort of lining for the cold. Rain Jackets or Parkas for the rain. I will redistribute them locally, most likely in Richmond, Oakland and outer lying areas. Secondly I am collecting funds or materials to purchase coloring books, puzzles, crayons to distribute at nursing homes locally. I know of at least 7 nursing homes near me and know they do not get enough visitors and therefor sometimes lack stimulation. Think of your grandmother. grandfather, whoever helped raise you...they deserve the basics in return, acknowledgement, companionship and gratitude. Thirdly I will be extending My walk with Out Of the Darkness to an overnight walk. This will be an 18 mile walk and the funds collected will be used to provide resources to those struggling with depression, thoughts of suicide, survivors and families coping with the aftermath. Most of you know I have a really close connection with the effects of suicide and I am trying to do my part to honor that person who left me by giving others a chance at a a new day. That day will most likely occur in 2015 and I will set up a drive exclusively for that. Lastly, I am collecting funds and or materials that I will list below for a local NO KILL animal shelter in my own backyard. Animal Refugee Response is located in El Sobrante and takes in animals with terminal diseases, missing limbs, the elderly and so on that would otherwise not get adopted or has been discarded by the families they lovingly served. They are always in great need and all living beings deserve a chance at life. PLEASE HELP ME IN DOING FOR OTHERS.
