Just recieved this e-mail! Action for Angel Update Dear matthew I just wanted to give you a quick update, as we have this week mailed the Action for Angel petition to the Mayor of Taiji. We printed out over 100,000 signatures (double sided and on carbon neutral paper of course), and all your names still managed to cover an entire desk! This amazing outcome is a real testament to the importance of this issue to people all around the world. One of our lovely volunteers even translated the petition letter into Japanese. I am so grateful for all your support and kindness - thank you. In our cover letter to the Mayor, I welcomed a discussion about Angel so Ill keep you updated about any response we might receive. I am still hoping to hand deliver the petition (hopefully with even more signatures) in September. The first legal hearing for Angel is less than 10 days away and I have been busy preparing my court statement.
