Just remember the gift goes to the giver something I need to work on I have been doing alot of selfish action like reading the big book reading the 12X12 going to meetings working the steps praying reading the bible going to church I need to start reaching out to the new comer and getting into service I have almost 5 months sober there are some things I cant do until 6 months of sobriety but I need to reach out I mean that is what I am going to school for to help poeple I do feel good though I talked to my mom for about two hours on the phone my mom and stepdad are haveing promblems in there marriage my stepdad has 27 years of sobriety and is going through alot dosnt go to meetings just not happy basicly dry treets my mom bad she dosnt know what to do I gave her my oppinion on it im not going to get into details but he called her in tears I fill for him he is my stepdad and I pray he gets back into meetings and work a program but i told my mom you are powerless over him I told her she needs to work on her self and all we can do is incourage him I mean ill tell my stepdad hey im going to a meeting and he will go sometimes but most of the time he wont go they have been married for thirty years and I know its hard for my mom but I basicly told her what I think and that is to worry about herself and move on for know and when I got done talking to her he called her in tears and basicly said he was lost and that he loved her so I pray to God that my stepdad gets back into meetings and they work this out God bless them both
