Just returned from a Thanksgiving trip to Minneapolis where Hoyt and Amy hosted a beautiful banquet featuring roast goose by Amy and outdoor smoked turkey by Hoyt. Savory and yummy.The kids were courageous as their dining room filled with hungry people. Christopher and Debbie flew in with young Julia, Charlotte and I drove in, and my mom rode to the festivities with longtime family friend and honorary family member Sharon Arndt. So we had 9 around the table and plenty of conversation. Since there was such a crowd at Amy and Hoyts house, Charlotte and I bunked with friends Lou and Peggy St. Germain. Friday featured a visit to the butterfly exhibit at the Science and Nature Museum in St. Paul, a truly memorable experience and even though the weather for driving to Minnesota was challenging, the entire experience was wonderful.
