Just returned from a month collecting in central Australia and found some amazing pieces, had some great adventures and shared some once in a lifetime moments :-) As Paul Hayes has already shown, a staggering find of amethyst was uncovered, the diversity of crystal formations ranged from double terminated elestial overgrowths, scepters, enhydro crystals and crystals full of internal windows and clay filled air pockets such as the one pictured. Ill gradually photograph more from this find and write up the full story....just need to finish cleaning them all!
