Just reviewing Medical facts, but Im taking a break and wanted to blog a bit here. Ive been on a high protein, lo carb diet and Im becoming more trim and am hoping to see better blood chemistry in about six months. So I took a photo to see if I look slimmer, really just the face..................... Maybe not yet, but Ive lost 5 lbs, also have lost 6 inches overall, in my arms, thighs waist, and hips. I gained a 1/2 inch in the chest, probably due to yoga and push ups, etc Im not just doing it to only lose weight, but to reduce my LDL cholesterol number which is too high. We have a high risk history of heart disease and strokes in our family, so this is preventative in order to keep myself from having heart disease. Ive always had perfect health, with a blood pressure of 110/70 (Normal 120/80). So that is perfect, but as I said, my LDL cholesterol or Lousy cholesterol that you want to be Low, is too high. So now is the time I choose actions to lower this through weight loss and increased muscle. I will periodically tell-all about progress, because if it helps me, then it certainly will help you. I am an M.D. after all, so Im, not just talkin the talk, Im walkin the walk. Really, lets see about real improvement in our real world, so Ill reveal my progress from time to time.
