Just saw American Sniper real life story about Navy Seal Chris Kyle who had record for most kills in US Military history. Obviously we were lied to about the war in Iraq but that does not take away from the fact that this man did his job and did it well. People in the military are sent to battle by civilians. You could say that civilians let down the military by sending them to that unnecessary and costly war. But to hold people in the military who were doing their job responsible for the politics is wrong. That being said ... in terms of pure movie quality I thought it was not the best film and certainly not Clint Eastwoods best work ... Lone Survivor also about a Navy Seal and Blackhawk Down about Army Rangers in Somalia were both much better war films.
