Just saw Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Thankfully it was only in 2D, not 3D, otherwise it would have been 50% worse. Im trying to think of a single plot point both Jen and I hadnt worked out 45 minutes earlier. *fail* It seems it wasnt just a CGI movie, but a CGS movie - Computer Generated Script, written by a Commodore Pet with a massive 64k storage capacity. Weird its in 3D when there is only really two characters that are not one-dimensional: the orangutan and Caesars son. Logical plot holes galore, including in the underlying premise and what happened in the last ten years, only multiplied the pain. Oh, and what a missed opportunity! Not to give spoilers, but there is moment where Caesar could have said, Et, tu, brute. Good CGI, but dont go to this movie if youre interested in anything else.
