Just spent an hour "chatting" with Charter trying to drop our phone line and only have internet. Just love the "specials" they have. Since our phone line was in a "bundle" they initally said it would cost MORE to drop our phone line. Great to hear we do not qualify for the specials because we are an existing customer and not a new customer. But, the best news is, even though we are an existing customer, we get to pay an activiation fee of 29.99 to 199.99 to change our service. Lovely! So, persistence paid off and in the end, I was able to drop our phone line, pay the same for our internet and somehow we do not have to pay an activation fee. Sounds too good to be true. Will be watching the next bill very carefully! :)
