Just to clarify. PUDEMO has never advocated for the overthrow of the monarch. PUDEMO correctly diagnosed the problem in Swaziland as the system of governance - not Mswati or the monarch. We noted that tinkhundla can be problematic even in a country with no monarch. This is because tinkhundla strives on favouritism, cronysm, bootlicking and dishonesty. This favouritism can happen even if the King dies or the monarch is removed, as long as the satanic tinkhundla system is maintained. Therefore, advocating for the death or removal of individuals will not help the nation hence PUDEMO as serious minded revolutionary organization is calling not for the overthrow of an individual but the tinkhundla system of governance. We have clearly stated that we want a constitutional multiparty democracy, a system which will maximise transparency, accountability and be reflective of the wishes of the masses of our people. As PUDEMO, we have always opened room for the monarch to commit itself towards the democratisation of the country. By doing so, the monarch will be displaying its commitment into coexisting with political parties in the country. We have argued that Swazis must be allowed to elect their leaders, not just MPs. We have argued that the King should not above the law but should exercise his powers as dictated by a constitution which shall be a result of a consultative and participatory process, not one compiled by a certain clan without being mandated by the people but by friends and relatives. However, we have warned the monarch that nothing can stand against an idea whose time has come because it espouses immense power which surpasses that of a powerful hurricane. This we have stated, because we note elements of the royal family in trying to block the peoples idea for democracy and this has the potential of making the institution of the monarch unacceptable to our people and as such lead to its total rejection and dismantling. The monarch must stop bullying, terrorising and dividing the nation by manipulating culture and distorting history as well as tradition for its narrow interest. As PUDEMO we are totally against domination. We condemn royal domination and its twin sister; the rapacious spending of public to fund the luxurious lifestyle of the monarch and its henchmen but we are saying all Swazis must share the countrys wealth and live in peace together as brothers and sisters not as suspects, Princes, Princesses, royal family members and subjects. Lastly, we call upon PUDEMO members to intensify the battle of ideas. We call upon them to engage every Swazi politically and explain for purposes of persuasion. People must understand without being forced that PUDEMO means peace and loves the people of the country. As comrades do so, they must be aware that it will not be easy for Swazis to hear what they will saying to them. They will be insulted and ridiculed.Ours is not to insult back but to further explain persuasively and patiently. Lastly, we would like to disassociate PUDEMO from the insults seen here connected with the tithe organization. PUDEMO strongly condemns insults and we condemn from our membership and anyone including the King who has perfected them of late.
