Restaurant Reports Theft Of Coffee Cup The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a coffee cup from a local eatery. A deputy was called by an employee to the Waffle House at 5607 Highway 42 West Friday afternoon after a customer left the business with a coffee cup valued at $5. According to the officer, the customer was not happy with her meal, and then left the business with the cup before the deputy arrived. Authorities are following up on a lead in the case. If located, the suspect could face larceny charges.
