Just to prove that the universe has a sense of humour, after accepting a job with my former employer just yesterday (and therefore committing to the 90-minute commute each way), I got a phone call this morning from a law firm here in Chilliwack. Really?? After 2 months of nothing, suddenly I have 2 job offers in 2 days? LOL. Turns out the 2nd one had been speaking to my former boss (yes, the one that just re-hired me) and mentioned she needed a new assistant. He said he had just hired one. Turns out the 2nd lawyer had my resume sitting on her desk at the time, and she told him she was going to call me. She knows I am committed to former lawyer, but she is now reviewing the job to see whether I could do it part time, around the required hours of the first job (confused yet? LOL). Bottom line is, I may now have TWO jobs - just trying to negotiate timelines with both of them. :)
