Just to see how much we have changed after the stock crash of 1929 we put people to work on infrastructure projects. Roads, bridges, national parks, the Tennessee Valley Authority would bring light electricity aid in irrigation and flood control and it does so still today. We even built one of the greatest wonders of the world, the Golden Gate Bridge. So fast forward to 2008 and the economic meltdown touted as almost as bad as the Great Depression and laid in the lap of Republicans and President Bush. Yet it is not focusing on how you get into a bad situation especially while youre still in it, thats rather like cryin over spilled milk. IT IS rather focusing on HOW YOU GET OUT and DOING IT that matters. So tell me just how focused was our President, just what great projects were accomplished as a result of his focus on the MOST IMPORTANT OF PROBLEMS, GETTING PEOPLE WORKING. Just what great infrastructure projects that would put idle people to work and benefit this great nation did he institute, or even propose in his first 2 years when he and the democrats CONTROLLED IT ALL. Let me make it simple for ya In 1929 we put people to work, even if it was clearing brush on a national park. We put people to building roads, bridges, dams and electrical systems to light the lives of millions. In 2013 we give free cell phones.
